Two of the most famous eating regimens today are the vegan diet and the Paleo diet. Both with a string of celebrity supporters and a loyal following, these two diets are essentially opposites of the other.

Vegetarian

The vegetarian diet is the ultimate diet for detoxification and restoring the body of its self-healing capabilities. The vegan  diet is composed majorly of fruits and vegetables including seaweeds, organic or inorganic. There are a lot of types of the vegetarian diet, “vegan” being them most strict.

Lacto-ovo vegetarian includes all kinds of eggs, cheese and dairy products but excluding the meats altogether. Lacto vegetarian only allows milk and dairy products as addition while ovo vegetarian only includes eggs. Pesco vegetarian includes fish in the diet but excludes dairy products and eggs.

The vegetarian diet is arguably the eating regimen that has got the most celebrities on its lair including some A-list actresses such as Anne Hathaway and Kristen Bell. Ellen Degeneres is also vegetarian.

Paleo

The Paleo diet is composed of all foods which can be hunted and gathered. The premise of the diet is likened to the caveman era where our ancestor’s eating habits include those which can be hunted and gathered. Grains and other products of modern agriculture is not included in the diet.

The Paleo diet has two major groups; the ones who eat their meat raw and the ones who prefers the meat cooked. In the Paleo diet, there is no cooking method that is prohibited and there are many recipes which can be prepared.

The most notable people who are Paleo dieters include Megan Fox, Miley Cyrus, and Kellan Lutz. The wife of megastar Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel also credits her rocking body on the diet. Matthew McConaughey reportedly said that he is following an 85% Paleo diet.
