Practical Tips for a Healthy Liver

The liver is the main organ for detoxification. In most animals including man, the liver is vital for protein synthesis and metabolism. It is the largest gland in the body with a triangular shape. It is composed of highly-sophisticated tissue cells that are very good in restructuring and healing themselves. The liver produces bile – a substance that is very alkaline, to counteract the acidic environment on the body whenever it deemed fit. It also helps to digest foods and neutralizes them.

The liver is arguably the most abused gland in the body. With it being a detoxifier, it is subjected to many threats day in and day out – the major part of which is taking in alcohol and unhealthy foods. A fatty liver may result when there is an abundance of fat cells in the lining of the liver. A fatty liver cleanse review on one of the most effective ways to cleanse a river is presented in this article.

To prevent a fatty liver from occurring here are some must-know tips.

Quit drinking.

Reduce drinking to at least on the “occasional” level.  Too much alcohol causes fatty liver, which in turn can turn a person obese and develop a ground for liver failure. Excessive and steady intake of alcohol is very bad for the liver.

Don’t overload on Vitamins A and D.

Vitamins A and D are stored in the liver (that’s why liver is the primary  animal source of vitamin A) and excessive amounts of both these vitamins put a stress into the organ. The basic daily uptake of Vitamin A for adult males is 10,000 IU while Vitamin D should only be sourced from the sun to avoid overdose. When supplementing with a Vitamin D capsule, choose the D3 variant and steer clear of the D2.

Reduce the coffee and tea.

Tea and coffees are stimulants, which means that they make the liver function more than what it should be doing. This means more work for the organ.
